Italian mandolin and banjo player, composer and conductor.

De Pietro was one of the leading mandolinists of the first half of the 20th century. He was a student of Calace's who dedicated his op. 126 (the Mazurka da concerto) to De Pietro. De Pietro arrived in England shortly after WWI where he settled, performing and recording regularly and also teaching and leading a mandolin ensemble.
