The band was previously named Roadburn as an homage to the festival and our dream to one day play there, hence "the quest for..." motto, but the name changed in september 2014 to Monumentum because of growing interest and publicity and some feedback from people afraid they were trying to use the famous name to get somewhere in this world. They have now changed their name to show that they can stand on their own.
