Werner Twardy

German pianist, organist, composer and producer, born 28 December 1926 in Oberhausen, Germany, died 16 January 1977 in Rösrath. Twardy started his musical career as well-known jazz pianist, working with famous bandleaders such as Charly Tabor, Fred Bunge, Joe Wick and Kurt Edelhagen. In 1958 he started working for Cologne based producers Kurt Feltz and Hans Bertram, primarily as composer and arranger and became highly successful with his work for Roy Black and Chris Roberts. In his later career he founded and managed his own publishing company Eppy Music and worked for televison productions like Musik Ist Trumpf.
