German composer, arrangeur and orchestra leader (*May 16, 1925 - ✝2000)
He founded his first band in Leipzig in 1957. From 1959 he worked for the music publishers in Berlin and Leipzig as an arranger and soon devoted himself more to composing. On behalf of the German broadcaster, he put together a studio orchestra in 1966, with which he recorded some songs in his own style at Funk and AMIGA in the following years. From 1980 he was also one of the authors of the GDR television series 'Klock 8, achtern Strom'. The lyrics to his melodies were often written by his wife, the lyricist Birgit Wernecke.
