In 1901, the choir of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior was created.
M. V. Karpov = Михаил Карпов, a pupil of the Court Chapel, became the regent.
One of his successors was A.V. Alexandrov = Александр Васильевич Александров, later the author of music for the Anthem of the USSR and modern Russia.
After the reconstruction of the Temple, the choir was also recreated.
In 1998, N. S. Georgievsky = Николай Георгиевский became the regent.
In 2005, he handed over the management of the choir to Sergey Krivobokov.
Since 2007, the choir of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior has been directed by Ilya Tolkachev = Илья Толкачёв.
In 2001, the choir of the Cathedral Cathedral of Christ the Savior was awarded the title of "Patriarchal" by His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II = Патриарх Алексий.
