David Wheat
Guitarist and songwriter. Texas-born American folk and jazz musician, Songwriter and recording artist. He was a well-known Guitarist and Bass player with the big dance bands of the era. Wheat was best known as the upright bass accompanist for The Kingston Trio, being the fourth member on stage. In 1961 Wheat left the Trio along with Dave Guard to form the Whiskeyhill Singers.
