Juan Bautista Madera Castro is a sinceano (from San Luis Sincé, Colombia) who was born in the Guinean Neighborhood on May 7, 1922 a few steps from Simon Bolivar Park in the municipality of Sincé.
Before Francisco Choperena did the lyrics to that melody, "La Pollera Colorá", this piece of Colombian music was already played everywhere played by the orchestra of Pedro Salcedo and his boys, a group of which Juan Madera Castro, his musical composer, was part.
