Kattong

Effective period / Period of releases: 1972

Members: Harald Golbach, Frank Baier (2), Landauer, Claus Landauer, Rolf Hucklenbruch

Kattong was a German folk-trio with political lyrics which emerged roughly 1970-1971. Band members were Rolf Hucklenbruch, Harald Golbach, Frank Baier.
The first record featuring the band, although not credited as Kattong, was the split album Klaus Moje, Claus Landauer, Frank Baier, Rolf Hucklenbruch, Harald Golbach - Gitarre Vor'm Bauch, with lyrics written by Thomas Rother.
The only album as Kattong Kattong - Stiehl Dem Volk Die Geduld, advertised the band as a five piece, adding Claus Landauer (guitars) and Thomas Altrogge (violin).
Guests on this album was the entire cast of Lilac Angels: Hans-Josef Stick (organ), Horst Luedtke (guitars), Detlev Krause (bass) and Martin Napiersky (drums) This was significant since it was the first release they appeared on.

Baier later teamed up with Walter Westrupp and did a solo-LP as well as playing in Die Walter H. C. Meier Pumpe.
