Biography
Anna Kasprzycka
Polish carillonist and recording engineer. After 300 years of carillon history in Berlin, Anna Kasprzycka became the first woman to be appointed to a Berlin carillon position at the new carillon of the Parochialkirche in 2021. She was the first Polish carillonist to graduate summa cum laude from the Royal Carillon School 'Jef Denyn’ in Belgium in 2014. Maintaining an active touring career throughout Europe and the USA, Kasprzycka is noted for her world premieres of music by contemporary Polish composers, and she draws new audiences with mobile carillon concerts that range from tango to kid-friendly events with circus and puppet theater. Kasprzcka was a 2017 Carillon Fellow at Bok Tower Gardens, Florida, pursuing research on the first Polish carillon compositions, written by Jerzy Bojanowski. Recently, she collaborated with sound artist Jessica Ekomane for the 2024 MaerzMusik festival.
