At the end of 2004 Breakneck emerged from the southern suburbs of London (England) in the form of a quintet. For a year they composed songs and did their first local concerts, before gigging more extensively in 2006 alongside Captain Everything!, Adequate Seven, Boom Six Sonic, Fireapple Red & Jesse James.
In July '06 they release their first EP 'And There Was Another Illusion'. At the end of November, Dan Goudie left the group.
