Born Dec. 25th 1892 in Berlin, died September 12th 1973 in Bern, Switzerland.
He studied acting at the Lessingtheatre under Rudolf Blümner and became a reader for the "Sturm" circle using the special technique of Rudolf Blümner. During his imprisonment in Britain 1918/1919 he started painting and developed his literary work "Zuginsfeld". His next main literary work was done in 1923/1924 "Unfeig", while at the same time working in painting and concrete poetry. Between 1926 and 1955 he wrote "Das Rad Der Titanen". In 1933 he emigrated to Switzerland where continued his artistic and literary work until his death. His 16-runes fugues "Sternendonner" remained unfinished.
