Dharmavit dasa and Markandeya dasa are the two original founding members.


SAFE started out as a studio project when singer Dharmavit dasa and the guitarist Markandeya dasa were busy with other bands recording. With the "Ride A New Season" CD (2014) they decided to form a permanent band to play gigs and make SAFE a legit band. The sound at the time was a melodic hardcore with personal lyrics. SAFE played a bunch of shows but decided to take a break when Dharmavit moved from Italy to Germany in 2016. On the edge of the Black Forest, he and the drummer Matt Cantatore (ex Fumbles In Life) regrouped the band with german members and they released the "Stay Strong" 7"ep in spring 2018: three fast, positive, powerful and melodic hardcore songs. In november 2018 they were locked into a studio again and recorded 9 new songs for their "Power Of Bliss" LP. They recorded the album at Proxy studio in Stuttgart. In his Salad Days studio in Baltimore, Brian McTernan (Battery, Ashes, Be Well) took care of the final mixing and mastering of the songs and out came a mix of solid, melodic and explosive hardcore, a perfect compromise between the typical “youth crew” sound of the eighties with a lot of melodies. In 2021 came out the "Unselfish" 7"ep with three new songs. The lyrics are based on introspection, spirituality and a PMA mindset!
