Chico Ché Y La Crisis

In 1969 Chico Ché founded the group "La Crisis" together with the saxophonist Eugenio Flores. Some members along with Chico Ché continued knocking on doors until they met with the promoter Jesús González Del Callejo, who recommended them to use a name that reflected the Mexican popular reality. It was in 1972 that, with the entry of Luis Echeverría as Mexican President, a rumor of a serious economic crisis was arriving to the country spread out and at this news, the group decided to adopt the name "La Crisis".
