Moate Céili Band, Irish band from the town of Moate between Dublin and Athlone was broadcasting on the radio as early as 1932.
By 1936 the band had John Joe Gannon on accordion, William Adamson on fiddle and piano accordion, Bill Donnelly on piano and piano accordion, Eddie Egan on fiddle, Billy Whelan on banjo-mandolin, and Wille Davis on concertina.
Latter the band added Paddy Gavin, Paddy Donoghue and Michael Kinkeade on fiddle.
