Cantor Abraham Davis

Real name: Avraham David Davis

Tenor, born and raised in Israel. Started his singing career as a child and sang with the largest choir in Israel under the direction of the famous choral director, Zalman Rivlin. Soloist for prominent cantors as Rosenblatt, Kwartin, Herschman. Studied voice with the world renowned Richard Tauber, conductor of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Arrived in the United States in 1942 and conducted services in prominent synagogues in Washington, D.C., and New York. Appeared on coast-to-coast radio and television programs such as Morning Chapel (WNBT), Bride And Groom (CBS-TV), The World Of Cantors (WLIB).
Studied music and theory at the Metropolitan School of Music, and voice with Miss Elizabeth Lersh.
Official cantor of the Congregation Shaaray Tefila and the Far Rockaway Jewish Center of Far Rockaway, N.Y.
