Japan-based 'Group Sounds' (GS) band, 1968-1969. Members:
フィリップ・トレイナー (Phil Trainer - bass, lead vocals) group founder
タミヤ・アーダクル (Tamia Arbuckle - vocals, guitar)
マーク・エルダー (Mark Elder - lead guitar, vocals) - until spring 1969
アラン・ヒル (Alan Hill - drums, vocals)
During the recording of their second LP Sound Of Silence (1969), Mark Elder returned to Los Angeles, and Allan Sachs (Allan Preston Sachs), recently arrived in Tokyo, was drafted to replace him and complete the four remaining tracks on the album, taking the stage name of ポール・メリル (Paul Merrill). Shortly thereafter, Phil Trainer, the group's founder and lead vocalist, left Japan for Europe where he joined the band Clinic (2), and the group dissolved.
