Spanish intermedia artist, born 1941 in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. Lives in Madrid.
Jerez studied piano for 10 years at the Real Conservatorio de Musica, Madrid, and Political Science for 5 years at the University of Madrid. She has been working as an artist since 1970. Since 1991 she teaches as an associate professor at the Facultad de Bellas Artes, University of Salamanca.
Since 1989 she has been collaborating with composer und multimedia artist José Iges. Together they produced many installations, interventions and performances using both sound and visual elements, including works for radio.
