"Established in 2013, TEST APES is an independent, eclectic 2 piece band based out of Washington state, consisting of Danny Barnes (x-Bad Livers, etc) & Max Brody (x-Ministry, etc).

"We are the only band in the world that utilizes Danny's patented invention, "The Barnjo"-- a solid body electric banjo of sorts (with some extra features). Live, we are a 2-piece; with Danny on Barnjo and Vocals and Max on Drums and Noise Mash-Up. Our shows tend to utilize some improvisation and are never quite the same. In the studio we are our own "Wrecking Crew". We morph between our live minimalist setup to big ol' multi-layered studio creations...its too much fun messing around in the studio and we can't help it sometimes..."
