Kwaito artist from South AfricaMakhendlas (22 December 1970 - 31 October 1998) was a kwaito singer and brother of Arthur Mafokate, who entered the scene during the spotlight of his brother.
His career began along with the popularity of his brother's reign into kwaito music and released his self-titled album in 1995 through his brother's label 999 Music.
His song "Makhendlas", which is trademarked after himself, rose audiences in kwaito. He followed with more work such as "Jawaleng" in 1997 and "Jammer" in 1998, which included a hit called "Eminwe" that hit nationwide reactions.
He died in 1998 by a self-inflicted gunshot after an altercation with an intoxicated fan at a concert, whom he shot and assumed to have killed.
