Sunny Ridell
Real name: James Otis Murray

Blues singer based in Crystal Springs, Mississippi.Ridell began his career as a ten-year-old singing on the street corners of his hometown Crystal Springs. In the 1960s he lived and recorded in New Orleans, for White Cliffs. After the bankruptcy of White Cliffs, Ridell moved to Chicago for a few years and then to Austin, Texas. In the early 1970s he got signed to a local label called Darva Records. By the early 1990s, Ridell had returned to Mississippi, where he continued to perform and record new music, releasing some songs through Ace Records (3). In the mid-1990s and 2000s he worked with a band called "T.C. Carter and the Midnighters," from Jackson, and in 2001 his first album was released by Ecko Records. The same year, he released his second album, "Snap, Crackle & Pop", via Three Kids Music.
