Real name: James Edward Alexander

Bassist, singer and songwriter. Original member of the Bar-Kays since the mid-1960s. When four band members died in the 1967 airplane crash that also killed Otis Redding, he rebuilt the band in 1968 with other remaining member Ben Cauley. With an interruption in the 1980s, Alexander has remained active with the Bar-Kays until today. Father of Jazze Pha (Phalon Alexander).
