MANDOG is a Japanese psych/krautrock/experimental/freeform band, founded by a guitarist Keiichi Miyashita, who implies the unique self-invented "instant composing" method during live shows. As the sole permanent member of the group, Miyashita often performs alone on guitar, tape echo, analog synthesizers, and various electronics; on other occasions, he expands MANDOG with an ever-changing cast of musicians. Each of Keiichi's studio albums has a new line-up as well – many CDs were recorded in collaboration with Takayuki Enomoto (bass) and Yasuyuki Watanabe (drums). The majority of the albums were published in Japan only, with Dream Of Liquid released in the UK for Mandog's first British tour in June 2011.

In 1990, Miyashita began his career as a jazz guitarist, performing at various concert halls, venues, and festivals all over Japan. After a long hiatus, Keiichi resumed his musical activities in 2002 and joined Damo Suzuki's Network as a lead guitarist on a US tour. Two years later, MANDOG also participated in Mani Neumeier's Japanese concerts.
