A dark ambient, sample-based séance to the Banning Mill - a real-life decaying "mansion" and haven for artists, freaks and misfits in the backwoods of the American Deep South in the 1970s-1990s - and an extraordinary piece of art that lived there.

Orders via Bandcamp received a bonus 44-page supplemental digital book.
The book tells the background story behind the art on the cover, the history of Banning Mill (where this art was found), interviews and previously unpublished artwork by Richard Scott Hill (the photographer behind the image), private photographs from former Mill residents, and an origin story for 400 Lonely Things.
Also available separately as a physical book, limited to 100 hand-numbered copies, of which 25 were made available for à la carte purchase.

Mother Moon was conceived in pre/post memory of the Banning Mill (1971-1999) and is wholeheartedly dedicated to Richard and Carol Hill.
