Woodwind player. Raised in Duluth, MN, he moved to Eugene, OR aged 13 and majored in music at the University of Oregon. Got wed in 1951 and moved to San Francisco, CA. Graduated with a master's degree in music at San Francisco State. Worked as a touring musician with Tennessee Ernie Ford, Petula Clark and Elvis Presley. Theatre orchestra jobs, mainly for Broadway shows, but also with The Temptations and Gladys Knight. Divorced in 1975.
