Death / black metal band from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
Formed in 1992 by Ed Price and Steve Lea, joined a few months later by Chad Kassimatis. At this point the band was called "Black Death" and was playing pure death metal. About a year later the name was changed to "Malignant Inception". After the release of their debut album in 1997 the band was put on hold. It became active again in 2003 which also marked the change of their musical style to black metal (with some death metal elements).
In summer 2011 Malignant Inception was officially disbanded.
