Real name: Sydney Hoffberg

Syd Hoff (born September 4, 1912, The Bronx, New York City, New York, USA – died May 12, 2004) was an American cartoonist and author. He wrote for adults and children and is perhaps best known for his classic early reader "Danny and the Dinosaur". During the 1930's and early 1940's he contributed cartoons to newspapers and magazines that were considered radical using the pseudonym "A. Redfield".
