Puerto Rican popular singer, guitarist, songwriter (born 1937), he recorded his first single (El vellón pegao/Ni de madera son buenas) in 1956, and his first LP ("Cantando en el campo" on Marvela) in 1957, he moved to New York in 1958 with Pedro "Piquito" Marcano, and eventually became a star in Caribe and Mexico.
