Nigel went to Weston Grammar School before moving to Cambridge where he became music director of the Footlights Revue Company.
Since then, he has worked extensively as a composer and conductor in television, theatre and film.
Nigel spent five years as house composer for the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and has written scores for more than 80 television programmes, including Wycliffe and Hetty Wainthropp Investigates.
