The Morticians

Originally Joey D. and the Four Kings, these high schoolers from Bethlehem, PA were promoted and recorded by WEEX dee jay, Jay Edwards. Prompted to change their name to the Morticians upon being signed to Roulette Records, they began donning black suits onstage. While popular at local fraternity parties and the Alibi Lounge in Atlantic City, the Morticians were unable to tour Europe, so their label subsequently lent lesser support. Band members went their separate ways in 1969.Members:
