The James Elliot Band
Australian glam rock band, reinvented in 2019 as a theatrical alt rock band.
The James Elliot Band was formed in Brisbane in 1974. They won the Brisbane Battle of the Bands in 1975 and recorded a single "Space Demons" b/w "I Am A Rock" on RCA Australia. In 1977, the band disbanded with the advent of punk. Vocalist David DeWitt reinvented the band in 2019 with an emphasis on art and alt rock, but keeping the rock'n'roll theatrics that drove the original band.
