Combo Palacio (alias Los Virtuosos De La Salsa, changing their name to address the Colombian market, where in fact they met huge success) is the name of a set of tropical music originally from Lima (Peru), concept adapted from the salsa of Puerto Rico and the Colombian cumbia by the musical producer Alberto Maravi Chombo under the company Industria Fonografica Peruana S.A. (Infopesa) -- later in the late 1980s, the same name became sort of a brand of Peruvian salsa by Infopesa as it has been reused by Alberto Maravi for recordings done by other bands Maraví managed as Grupo Fantasía, Armonía 10 or Grupo 5, and concept eventually abandoned in the end of 1986.
