The Twinemen were created from the ashes of Morphine (2). After the death of Mark Sandman, Morphine members Billy Conway and Dana Colley continued on as Orchestra Morphine. They toured with Laurie Sargent in Sandman's place. After touring they decided on creating a new outfit separate from Sandman's legacy.
