Brazilian bass player, composer, and arranger.

Adriano Giffoni was born in Quixadá (CE), Brazil, in 1959. He began his musical career when he was 16, playing guitar in several bars and pubs in Olinda (PE) and Recife (PE), before moving to Manaus (AM), where he his formal studies as an acoustic bass player. He attended the Conservatory of the Federal University of Amazonas (Universidade Federal do Amazonas - UFAM) and also had additional training at the University of Brasília, Musical School of Brasília, UNIRIO and a few others. With such strong educational background, Giffoni has been giving workshops throughout Brazil and the world since 1994, having published books used by schools and universities abroad. He has also participated in soundtracks for cinema and TV.
