Real name: Augustine Coppée

Mrs Augustine COPPEE (known as LOLY DOLL)
Died on April 18th, 2012 at the 90 years age in Gosselies (belgium)
Born on August 31st, 1921

Girl of miner, ninth child of a family of 10 (including 7 singers).
Augustine Coppée begins at 11 years in song contests from the district, then ensures of the interludes in regional theatres where she plays the comedy. In 1942, she starts, under the pseudonym of Loly Doll, a career of singer of café concert at “Delahaut”, at the “White Flag” in La Louvière (Belgium). Family obligations make it cease in 1960 after a lot of performances in Charleroi (Belgium) and Seraing (Belgium), specially with in French. She records only 2 singles. .Iin 1983, she starts writing French and wallonian songs for which she calls on the composers J. Henreaux and J. Quettier. She publishes some in a collection published in 1987.
