Post-Hardcore band from Reykjavik, Iceland. Originally formed as a post-rock band, their sound shifted to something a little more volatile. The band has gained recognition for its raw, intense and powerful live performances as well as being one of the hardest working bands to come out of the Icelandic hardcore community.

In May 2014, Icarus put out their first release, entitled 'Ascending/Descending.' Distribution was handled by the band itself but a limited run of 12" LP's soon followed, released through the independent German distro, Lifeisafunnything.

The band later changed their name to Great Grief.
