The Abel-Quartett appeared from May 1931 to February 1932 on Kristall (2) releases.
Leader Rudolph Goehr had taken over Paul Abel's second Abel-Quartett, which Abel had founded after leaving the Original-Abels in Fall 1929, and thus inherited the right to the name "Abels." In late 1932 Rudolph Goehr took over the Original-Abels/Five Songs from Istvan Kardos - after that Kristall (2) again features the Original-Abels.
