Bob Helm
American jazz clarinetist and saxophonist, born July 18, 1914 in Fairmead (Kings County), California, died September 1, 2002 in San Rafael, California.
Helm met Lu Watters and Turk Murphy in San Francisco in 1935, and played in the Lu Watters And The Yerba Buena Jazz Band intermittently 1940-1950, and with Murphy's band 1947-1981. He also played with Marlene Dietrich on tour.
