Roger Booth

Real name: Roger Duane Booth

Drummer, vocalist, songwriter, and bandleader from Washington, Iowa. His bands became associated with Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Booth was born on June 17, 1939, in Washington, Iowa, the oldest child of Dale and Virginia Booth. After graduating from Washington High School in 1957, he attended the University of Iowa. He served two years in the United States Army. His band The Do's And The Don'ts was inducted into the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. He died on September 29, 2010, at the Veteran's Hospital in Iowa City following a lengthy illness.
