Real name: Ceylan Hay

Ceylan Hay is a composer (b. 1990) from Ayrshire, Scotland. Her work takes a freewheeling, magpie attitude to ambient, noise, free improvisation, psychedelia, jazz, minimalism and folk, creating subtly shifting sound worlds drawing on natural cycles, environmental disaster and the microcosmic aspects of relationships. Composing for theatre, film, animation, spoken word, performance art and dance, she also performs solo as "Bell Lungs" and facilitates community music workshops, often drawing on her ever-growing instrument collection, integrating vocals, strings, keys, tuned percussion and woodwinds into lushly textured layers and loops.
