MacLains

Members: Göran Ohlen, Sven Ingvarsson, Ingemar Jonsson, Björn Karlsson (5)

Swedish band from northern Bohuslän.

What distinguishes them is their 50s-60s inspired rock, but above all that they sing in Bohuslän dialect.

MacLains was formed in 1967 in Gothenburg as a dance band in the middle of the worst pop wave. After a series of gigs, the entire project was moved to Hovenäset on Sotenäs.
Over time, there were mostly gigs in Norway until the group started recording LPs. Songs like "Abel i Klôva" and "Badgäster" were played on both radio and TV.
MacLains has become most appreciated for its "dialect beds". The group members recommend the study associations to use these in 5-point courses in Bohuslän dialect.

This band has reformed to Saltlaget and McAbels
