Forward Music Quintet

Members: Natassa Streuberg, von Klaus, Elle (12), Γιώργος Μακρίδης, Τάκης Πολυχρονόπουλος

New Wave/Darkwave band created in 1981 in Athens, Greece. Two former members of Parthenogenesis (Παρθενογένεσις), bassist Yorgos "Shman" Makridis and vocalist Takis "Or" Polychronopoulos, started the band with their girlfriends Natassa "Streuberg" Syregela (keyboards) and Katerina "Elle" Perpinia (guitar). Nikos "von Klaus" Samiotakis (ex "Homicide") completed the line-up on drums.

In September 1982 they supported New Order, at a concert at Sporting Stadium. In the same year they toured with "T.V.C." in 10 cities of Greece. Their first album, "The Mystery Of A Dying Species", was released in 1983. Second album, "Glory & Betrayal", followed in 1985 but without Polychronopoulos and Perpinia who had left the band. Tom Bouzianis (ex "Parthenogenesis", "Stress") played guitar on two tracks as well.

The band was not that active after the second album, but in 1991, Syregela and Makridis (now as a duo), released a third FMQ album "Vanishing Soldiers". After the band's break-up, the duo went on to work on film translations.
