Stephane B.L formed Cristine in London in 2006, releasing the single "I Freak" on Cassette records in 2006.Cristine then started recording new tracks for Mute Irregulars/Mute records in 2007, releasing single "Cross the line/Use" in October 2007.
Robert Schultzberg joined Cristine on drums and in 2007, Tree Carr joined with guitar and vocals followed by Douglas Hart on bass.
