Leif Carlqvist

Real name: Leif Göran Karlqvist

Swedish musician and music producer, born December 31, 1943 in Högalid parish, Stockholm.

In the early 1960s, Carlquist was a member of the band The Ghost Riders from Trollhättan and in 1965 became the leader of the band Swede Singers, which the following year released a music album produced by Sven-Olof Walldoff. In 1968, he formed the band Gimmicks, which produced a series of music albums before it disbanded in 1976. From the mid-1970s, he was also active as a music producer at the record company Polygram, where he collaborated with Tomas Ledin and Björn J:son Lindh, among others.
