Shift was a Dutch band from Hilversum, which was best known for their appearance in the TV-series 'Spijkerhoek'.

The band was founded in 1986 around Hans van Eijck and John Ewbank. The singer was Sophia Weser.
In 1989 the band figured in 'Spijkerhoek' where the character Patty Starrenburg (played by Mary-Lou Stenis) experienced ups and downs with her band Shift. During the series the single 'Wonderful' was released and it was performed in Countdown followed by a short tour. 'Wonderful' reached the second place in the Top 40 and was listed for ten weeks.
In 1990 Shift participated in the Dutch pre-selections for the Eurovision Song Contest, achieving third place with the song 'Helemaal'.
In 1991 the band was disbanded.
