Die Flöckchen

Members: Markus Kierdorf, Uwe Kraus

Die Flöckchen is a singing duo from Bergisch Gladbach. It consists of Uwe Kraus and Markus Kierdorf and became famous with mood and carnival songs such as Zwei Dicke Freunde, Häppy Party and Schätzje schenk m'r e Foto.
Die Flöckchen were founded in Bergisch Gladbach in 1994. Kierdorf and Kraus knew each other through their joint involvement in the soccer club. Kraus has 16 years of experience as a trumpeter and was a singer in the Herkenrath show and fanfare corps. With the support of Gerd Rück, the duo made the leap onto Cologne's stages in 1997 with the Kajuja Köln. This was followed by performances in the Gürzenich, the Sartory, the Flora and the Kölnarena (now the Lanxess Arena). From 2007 to 2013, the group was supported by keyboardist Stefan Linden.
In addition to numerous stage appearances at home and abroad, including in Tunisia, Ibiza and Mallorca, the group re-recorded the Bergische Heimatlied for WDR together with Ne Bergische Jung (Willibert Pauels) and the carnival speaker Doof Noß (Hans Hachenberg). The song Schätzje, schenk m'r e Foto was voted the second best song by Radio Köln listeners in the 2010/2011 carnival season. The video for the song was filmed live at a session of KG Lindlar. The group is under contract with the Cologne-based label Dabbelju Music.
