Milda Brehmane-Štengele

Milda Brehmane-Štengele (born October 20, 1893 in Riga, died October 30, 1981 in Riga)[1] was a Latvian singer (soprano), actress and teacher.Her sisters were actress Alice Brehmane and opera singer Auguste Brehmane-Gērmane.[2] She received her education at the courses of the Riga branch of the Imperial Music Society, which she completed in 1915.[1] In 1909, she started playing in the New Riga Theater.[1] Between 1919 and 1953, she was a soloist of the Latvian National Opera.[1]
In 1958, she became a member of the Latvian Theater Society.[1] In 1932, Brehman-Stengele received the Order of the Three Stars, fourth class, and in 1938, she received the Cross of Merit, third class.[1] Received the Motherland Award in 1937.[1]
