Marian Caruso

Pop and nightclub singer active in the Philadelphia area in the 1950s. In the late 1940s she was a dancer at the Roxy Theatre in New York City. By 1950 she was singing in ballrooms and clubs in Philadelphia.
In the Spring of 1952 she replaced Marge Schaeffer as a vocalist with the Overtones with whom she had a hit record later that year.
She was one of the opening acts for Duke Ellington when he appeared at the Earle Theater in September 1952.
She sang on the first release by the Devon label (1952) and she sang on the first release by the Jamie label (1957).
