Pathe Jassi
Real name: Pathé Jassi
Pathe was born in Dakar, Senegal, and has performed with Youssou N’Dour and Cheikh Lo. He has recorded 12 albums with various musicians in Africa, and has worked closely with Sam Sanders, one of Detroit’s jazz legends. Pathe’s rare ability to combine hard bebop with a polyrhythmic African sound has made him one of Detroit’s most revered jazz musicians.
