Dan Lindén
Real name: Dan Johan Enok Lindén
Swedish pianist from Gothenburg, Sweden, currently living in Lillestrøm, Norway, born May 29 1978.After high school at Brunnsbo music classes, it became the music line at Hvitfeldtska upper secondary school 1994-1997. Next was a year at Vadstena Folkhögskola's piano line 1997-1998.
In 1998, Dan applied for and was admitted to both the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen and the School of Music & Music in Gothenburg (The Academy of Music). The choice finally fell to the latter option and 4 years of piano studies studied at the soloist program for professor Gunnar Sjöström and Professor Hans Pålsson began.
He took master classes for pianists such as Hans Pålsson, Hans Leygraf, Greta Eriksson, Arne Torger and Jiri Hlinka. He has also studied at the Academy of Music's individual musician education, then with emphasis on classical piano playing and with Hans Pålsson as head teacher. Daniel Lindén also studied composition and pursued advanced studies in jazz improvisation.
The music college studies ended in 2003 and since then Dan has worked as a freelance musician full time.
