Spanish-Swedish musician (keyboard) and singer, born December 14, 1951 in Madrid, Spain.Barreto came to Sweden at a young age, where during his teenage years he lived in Sollentuna municipality.[4] After a period as an accompanist, he pursued a solo career and released the single Lookin' for the madman (1979), the self-titled album J.C. Barreto (1980), the single Outside roars the winter night (1981), the album Dr Love (1981) and Outer space knight (1982).
Barreto performed with his group in Stockholm on Gröna Lund's big stage in 1980.[5] Together with the singers Peter Lundblad and Karin Glenmark, he competed for Sweden in the Knokke Cup song festival in Belgium in 1982, where they came in fourth place.[6] He appeared extensively on TV in the 1980s, including in Lena-Maria Gårdenäs's show and Janne Carlson's show. He later released the album Here We Go Again (2015).
He graduated as a dentist at the Karolinska Institute in 1991 and later worked as a dentist in Great Britain. He was stated in 2017 as likely to be living in Tenerife.
